MEP System

Mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) refers to these aspects of building design and construction. In commercial buildings, these aspects are often designed by an engineering firm specializing in MEP.

MEP design is important for design decision-making, accurate documentation, performance and cost-estimation, construction planning, managing and operating the resulting facility. Building Categorized Revit software is used in MEP.

HVAC is sub-branch of Mechanical. It’s mainly used for residential (single family, townhouse, multifamily, villa), commercial (Shopping mall, hospital, schools, seminar Hall etc.), Industrial. For these, all location HVAC designing is always mattered. Duct size, air ventilation, heating all are part of HVAC. For example, we may say in simple language to maintaining room’s temp.

In any condition HVAC is useful. Meanwhile, selection of HVAC its always is aware of electric supply. Because if you select 240/120V supply HVAC system but the availability of supply is 208/120V. So it always requires coordination. In case of plumbing; its required coordination reason is to reduce clash detection of duct and piping.
